This game stars Mario, Luigi, Peach, and their friends as they embark on an adventure through the Flower Kingdom to thwart Bowser’s plan of domination after he uses a magical wonder seed. The game boasts a diverse roster of over 12 playable characters. Players must navigate through levels, dodging enemies like Goombas and Koopa Troopas, to reach the flagpole. Each level is sprinkled with Wonder Seeds that can alter the stage’s layout, teleport players, or even transform them into enemies or bring back foes like Shadow Marios. The game also offers various power-ups that assist players by creating hidden blocks, providing extra jumps, or offering a super mushroom from the start. It supports multiplayer options, both locally and online, allowing players to see others' ghosts which help uncover new secrets and deploy helpful standees in case they fall off a level and turn into ghosts. I was drawn to this game as a long-time Mario fan, particularly intrigued by how stages evolve with the Wonder Seed. The platforming is superb, offering an enjoyable level of difficulty, making it a fantastic game for cooperative play. The game’s concept, along with its unique and visually appealing design, adds to its charm.
