About Reminiscence Collection
The Reminiscence Collection is created and coded by Bree Dorman who dedicated to researching about the games that she owns. On each video game, it has many information about the games such as developer, publishers, series, and more. This website focuses on accessibility and responsivesness to ensure that the experience for anyone can be well. Users can create an account or log in to access personalized features such as liking, rating, and commenting on games. These interactions will be saved to their personal dashboard.
Please note that not all games have been reviewed by Bree yet. She aims to make each review unique and meaningful, which means it will take some time before all reviews are available on the website. However, you are encourage to contribute your own reviews in the meantime. Thank you!
Development
Launched in 2024, the archive was born out of a passion for gaming and a desire to document the information behind the games. In December 2023, was told to created a synthesis project for my senior project at VCU. In December 2023 and January 2024, I started gathering infromation about most of the games I own and put them in a Google Drive. I use information from the video games wiki pages, which I have cited all of them here Citations, which I am thankful for. You can view more information on the Public Policy and Terms of Service. Most of the covers I scanned in using my printer, and for some of the covers I used Cover Project and the search.
The Creator
I am Bree Dorman, a graphic design student at Virginia Commonwealth University, with a passion for puzzles, video games, reality TV, and reading. This project was born from my desire to revisit and enhance the video games I once owned. Having previously designed a video game cover and authored a book in the fall of 2021, I felt compelled to refine my earlier works, focusing on one of my favorite creations. I envision this project as a website that not only brings joy and nostalgia but also serves as a means to unite people through shared memories and experiences.
