Bree's Review:
In this game, players step into the shoes of Alex Chen, a young woman who possesses the unique ability to perceive and experience the emotions of others. This empathic power allows her to see and understand the feelings of people around her, such as anxiety or worry, which she can then address through conversations. The game is set in Haven Springs, a small town where Alex's interactions, shaped by player-chosen dialogue options, can influence the narrative and how other characters perceive her. The characters are well-developed, making it easy to connect with them emotionally. A tragic incident early in the game involving a death profoundly impacted me, highlighting the emotional depth of Alex's story. Visually, Haven Springs is beautifully rendered, and although I was content with the game's setting, exploring new areas could have been interesting. However, my gaming experience was stopped due to technical issues, where the game would freeze towards the end, preventing me from seeing the conclusion despite multiple attempts and restarts. After checking online forums like PSNProfiles and Reddit, I discovered that this was a common problem, which was disappointing as I was eager to see how the story ended. Overall, I enjoyed the game, particularly the dialogue options and the character development. However, I felt that the ending could have been more impactful. I was hoping for a conclusion that was as challenging and compelling.
