Bree's Review:

This kart racing game features a variety of playable characters competing on numerous tracks, some of which are new to this game while others are from previous installments. The tracks draw inspiration from Super Mario settings and offer power-ups collected from item boxes. The game includes a single-player mode with options like Grand Prix and Time Trial. There is also a multiplayer mode for both local and online play. The game's visuals are impressive, with great attention to detail, particularly on tracks like Mario Circuit, Mount Wario, and Neo Bowser City. However, the battle mode offers only eight track selections, all repurposed from the regular racing mode, which feels like a downgrade from the dynamic battle courses of previous games. Furthermore, the limitation of having just one item box and turning into a ghost if knocked out are disappointing aspects. On a positive note, the introduction of the 200cc class adds a thrilling challenge, especially on tighter tracks such as Neo Bowser City and Rainbow Road, and it even enables new shortcuts. This addition is my favorite feature, as it heightens the competitive aspect of the game.
